Memorial Day

Here's Titus eating a hamburger (which is a pretty big deal for this little guy who is pretty particular about what he will eat. Unless he found it on the floor, it better be a grape or cheese...)



Apparently he worked up an appetite swimming today and even finished off (drank) the last of the salsa.

Weekend Story

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Titus. (He was little, but he was big.)
Titus was very excited because his Grandma came for a visit. She and Mom and Aunt Merry took him to the Botanical Gardens. Titus rode in his stroller looking at all the flowers and animals.
Titus saw fish, lizards, birds (even a Moma Bird feeding a Baby Bird!), and lots of other fun things. He was happy... Until...Titus' Mom took him out of the stroller (not a good idea, when a Titus is happy in his stroller) for a picture. It was a risk, but surely it would be worth it for a picture?Titus sat on the butterfly seat and had his picture taken.Then Titus took off....
And he walked as fast as his little (but big) legs could carry him...
Then he ran a little...
Finally, he reached the dinosaur.
Mom followed. It was hard, but she was able to keep up. Grandma and Aunt Merry took the pictures.Titus stayed on the path and remembered to hold an adult's hand when he was around the water ponds. Soon, Titus was getting too fast for the other's to keep up. His Mom needed something to slow him down.

And she needed help pushing the stroller back to the car. So, Titus pushed.

And he pushed. Even over the hills, Titus was unstoppable.
He stopped long enough to get a couple of good pictures.
Soon they were back to the car. Titus had a snack and took a nap.

So here's Titus helping us with the yard work. No it isn't coming a hurricane, just very windy! Do turn your sound on so you can hear Titus talking in spite of the wind. Look for him putting his index fingers together (that's the sign for "hurt".) When I tell him "no touch" I usually say "that could hurt you" and I show him that sign. (Like the oven, or the coffee pot, or when we see a snake in a book, etc.) So now he is going up to things that are a "no" and doing the "hurt" sign. The flower pots are a "no", although I don't think I told him they would hurt him....
