Don't mention going to Grandma and PaPa's house until you are ACTUALLY LEAVING to go.
Last night, we mentioned visiting them and then Titus runs for his coat and hat. We were about to go for a walk. But that wasn't good enough. Then we had a very sad Titus who kept saying "PaPa", "PaPa".

i once told my niece and nephew, "we're off to kamazoo!" sam (2ish) said, "i like go zoo wis you!" i felt awful. i still haven't gotten over it.
